The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony will take place first, followed immediately by the Nuptial Mass, celebrated in Latin according to the 1962 Roman Missal.
Guide booklets to help you follow along with the ceremony will be provided in advance.
Talking inside the Church is strictly prohibited.
The Reception
The Royal Casino of Madrid
Calle de Alcalá, 15, 28014 Madrid, España
Only a 3 minute walk from the Church. So we will all walk together from the church to the reception venue.
Welcome drinks will begin in the "Bar Las Estancias" on the ground floor at around 15:00.
The Banquet will then follow in the "Puerta del Sol" Hall at 16:00.
We will all leave the venue at 18:30 and the Bride & Groom will depart for their honeymoon.
We will make further optional evening arrangements for those who wish to continue the festivities after the newlyweds have left.
P.S. The word "casino" has nothing to do with gambling. It originates from the Italian word for "Little House" (casa-ino), which would often be used to refer to a social club.
The Dress Code
Our wedding will be a traditional Catholic ceremony with a formal reception. We are so grateful you'll be celebrating with us, and it would mean a great deal if your dress could reflect the sacredness and beauty of the day:
classic, graceful, and simple.
Given the time of year, umbrellas and warm clothing are advised. Madrid can suddenly become extremely cold when the sun sets. There will be a cloak room in the reception venue.
For all guests: Please avoid wearing white, cream or ivory colours.

IMPORTANT: You may be denied entry to the venue if you don't follow the dress code. So to save embarrassment please read these guidelines carefully.
Please ensure that:
- Shoulders are covered
- Neckline and back are modest (no visible cleavage or bare back)
- Dresses and skirts fall well below the knee when standing
Please avoid:
- Very tight or revealing clothing.
- White, ivory, cream, or colours very close to white – we would love the bride to keep that palette to herself. A distinctly different colour is ideal.
If torn between trousers or a dress, we'd say wear the dress!

If an outfit does not follow these guidelines, our ushers may need to ask you to adjust it and, if that's not possible, they will unfortunately not be able to admit you into the church or reception. We hope this clarity helps to spare everyone embarrassment on the day.
Most importantly, it is absolutely mandatory for both ladies and gentlemen to wear a smile. 🙂

Accomodation
We originally said that we would recommend hotels and try to obtain group discounts for you all. However, we have now realised that Airbnb is much better value if you are coming as group. So we'd recommend that for the majority of you.
The Bride & Groom will be staying in a hotel very near to the reception venue.
If you need advice when booking your accommodation, please don't hesitate to ask us!
Gifts & Registry
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could hope for, and we can't wait to celebrate together!
There is absolutely no expectation, but we know that many of you (particularly the British) would like to bring gifts. However, after the honeymoon, our plan is to move to Italy so we won't be able to take the gifts with us!
For Spanish guests, this is inconsequential since the custom in Spain has always been to give financial contributions to the newlyweds rather than gifts. This may feel strange to the British guests, but due to the practicalities we much prefer either this or non-physical gifts.
Donations to our Church are also very much appreciated.
